This 8 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking, Game Drives and Chimp Tracking Safari takes you to Lake Mburo National Park for a game drive and boat cruise, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for gorilla trekking, Queen Elizabeth National Park for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel and a game drive and then to Kibale Forest National Park for chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi Wetland for a nature walk.
To Lake Mburo National Park
You will be picked by our driver guide from your overnight accommodation for transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. You will drive westward with a brief stopover at Kayabwe Equator monument for a photo moment, experiments and informational talk from the local guides.
You will arrive Lake Mburo National Park in time for checking into your accommodation and lunch. Thereafter you will embark on your boat cruise in search of crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, and a variety of water birds and wildlife.
Game Drive in Lake Mburo and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early breakfast, enjoy a game drive through Lake Mburo National Park where you will have opportunities to see 68 mammal species icluding impalas, zebras, buffaloes, hyenas, topis, road antelopes, jackals, as well as the Eland before proceeding to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for your gorilla trekking. Lunch will be enroute and you arrive Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the evening in time for your overnight accommodation check in and dinner.
Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early breakfast, and with your packed lunchbox, you will be ushered by our driver guide to the Park Headquarters for registration and then you will join other trackers for a briefing about your Gorilla Tracking safari. Gorilla Trekking can last you up to 6 hours. Gorilla trekking is a physically demanding exercise and require good fitness and endurance to undertake. After gorilla trekking, meet your driver who shall then transfer you back to your accommodation.
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Game Drive
Today you depart Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will depart with packed breakfast. enjoy beautiful scenery along the route. You'll arrive in time for Lunch and check in at the lodge. After lunch, embark on an action packed afternoon game drive in the plains of Kasenyi where you have opportunities to spot wildlife that may include herds of buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, wild cats such as lions and leopard.
Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel
Enjoy an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. You may enjoy game drives in Kasenyi or Kabatooro gates. Return to your lodge in time for lunch after which you will head to the Kazinga channel jetty for the afternoon boat cruise. This cruise offers you beautiful chances of viewing animals like hippos, elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles and some water birds.
Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After a leisurely morning breakfast, you will be transferred to Kibale Forest National Park where you arrive early afternoon. Check into your accommodation and spend the evening at leisure in preparation for chimpanzee tracking.
Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kibale National Park Headquarters for briefing before you proceed into the forest for chimpanzee tracking. You will be led by a well-trained and experienced ranger/guide who will take you for a guided primate walk inside Kibale Forest National Park. The chimpanzee trek will offer a chance spot a numerous primates, birds and insects like butterflies as you walk along the forest trails.
After chimpanzee tracking, you will return to the lodge for lunch followed by an afternoon nature walk in the Bigodi Swamp. Bigodi swamp is famous for primates including the black and white L’Hoest monkey, red colobus monkey, grey cheeked, colobus monkey, mangabey, vervet monkey, red tailed monkey, blue monkey and the baboon. There are mammals like bush pigs; sitatungas, bush bucks and otters. Primates like the mongooses and chimps also visit the Bigodi wetland from Kibale forest. Bigodi Swamp is as well a delight for birders as it has 138 species of birds that have been recognized. Famous in the swamp is one of the main bird species, the great blue turaco and dozens of birds.
Return Journey To Kampala / Entebbe
After breakfast, you will embark on your return journey to Kampala / Entebbe. It is a typical 6 hour drive. You will have lunch enroute. You will be dropped off at your Accommodation in Kampala / Entebbe Airport for your next destination
